5TH AUGUST 2019 //

If you’re reading this as the organiser of your office Christmas party, or even as the boss of the company that will ultimately end up paying for it, it’s worth considering what benefits the office Christmas party brings, and which pitfalls to avoid.

Here are a few bite-size bits of advice…

1 – It’s never too early to book

There are lots of good Christmas party venues out there. Of course, we think ours are pretty good(!) However one thing runs as standard – the peak nights at any good venue fill up faster than you think – we’ve already sold out a number of nights this year and we’re still slapping on the sun cream. If you can, BOOK EARLY!

2- Grrrr…Not the office Christmas party?!!

As the organiser or even the company head-honcho, the Christmas party can become a bit of a drag for various reasons. However try not to underestimate how important the office Christmas party is to your average member of staff – The vast majority of staff will look forward to the special night out and it provides a positive, fun talking point, both running up to the big night and for a number of days after it. A highlight amongst the cold winter months.

3 – Control the costs

With an ever-increasing choice of Christmas party venues, you should be able to find somewhere that fits your budget. Venues at different ends of the price scale may differ in quality and content so make sure you check out exactly what’s included. More and more venues are offering all-inclusive drinks packages as a way of controlling your costs through the evening while putting an end to continual trips to the bar with the company credit card!

4 – Get it organised for you

The best Christmas party venues out there will make life easy for you. They should offer a simple online booking system where you can allocate tickets, select your guests’ menu choices and dietary requirements, chose any drinks packages you may want and then sit back and relax.

Whatever you end up doing this Christmas, we hope you have a good one!
