Welcome to a world that never quite exists...

Prepare to be transported deep into a world of magical mystery where a fusion of light and sound meet in a land which never quite exists! Cirque de Lumière is a fantasy to be enjoyed unashamedly; a cacophony of senses that turn the real into the unknown... 

The phrase 'Cirque de Lumière' means 'Circus of Light' and the production pays tribute to the skill and innovative displays of the hand-picked cast, seamlessly supported by a spectacular light  show... 

On entering the venue, beautifully costumed acrobats and artists guide you through a bizarre journey of memorizing sights that instil a sense of true festive celebration. You are beckoned to banish your coats to the cloakroom as you feel the atmosphere already start to heat up. Bizarre stilt creatures stand next to a beautifully lit Christmas tree which towers up towards the atrium ceiling draped in thousands of twinkling fairy lights.  Lightly frosted Christmas trees line the atrium lit in dramatic blues and greens as occasionally swirls of light flash over head. 

Just as you are given sight of a traditional Christmas scene you realise all may not be as it seems as you are beckoned through to continue on a journey much less ordinary! As you are allowed to continue your passage, your expectation reaches even greater heights….

     

Enchanting lighting offers a mystical feeling of fascination as you begin to explore the different areas offering a multitude of delights. Uplifting Christmas music fills the air as you spot friends and colleagues already enjoying a drink at the main bar.   Suddenly, the room is plunged into darkness. Beautifully clad, lithe dancers dressed in memorising costumes become slowly visible on raised platforms throughout the bar. Performers attempt mind-defying contortions in front of your eyes as crisp beams of magical light race around the room.  

As you gather your senses, you come to realise your journey through the land of Cirque is far from complete! As you make your way up a few short steps towards the main balcony, and find yourself over looking the magical wonderland below shrouded in clouds of smoke and glistening fog. Elegant trapeze artists glide through the mystical air to entice heart-stopping moments while other creatures hang in mid air vying for your attention..... 

     

While the main bar offers traditional draught beers, spirits and wines, the balcony bars promise something a little different! At the cocktail bar, barmen dressed in extravagant costumes concoct dazzling drinks to order while the shot bar beckons those a little braver!   A chorus of strange creatures appear from nowhere beckoning you to join them for a Christmas feast. As you make your way eagerly towards the main dining area, the atmosphere changes once again to one of expectation…. you take your seats for a sumptuous meal and your eyes are drawn to the stage where the nights real entertainment begins.

Acrobats clad in iridescent costumes and brightly coloured body paint drop from high over your head to gasps from guests, while other creatures appear from the shadows to amaze with sheer strength and defying skill! As dinner continues, attentive waiters and waitresses ensure you want for nothing. Entertainment is effortlessly  mixed with good conversation as you relax amongst friend

     

As dinner reaches its climax, the atmosphere reaches boiling point and promises much more into the small hours: The music instantly gathers pace once again as the dance floor floods with those keen to take advantage of old time classics and modern day hits. Performers pour into the audience and guide willing guests, unable to resist, on to the floor! The Skyline Bar opens its doors where guests can hone their skills at the fun casino while enjoying panoramic city views through the floor-to-ceiling windows over the new cultural quarter of the City.

For those needing a short break from the festive celebrations, quieter areas have been set aside to enjoy a drink while chatting with friends or watching over the nights festivities from the balcony.
